This is the chip I pulled today. I always wonder what my HP is trying to poiint out to me.
I guess my lapse into judgemental was yesterday afternoon.
We bought a used dining room table. The top needed to be refinished. My hubby had never done any such thing but KNEW he could do it and make it look good. He sanded the table. He stained it. But it kept having places that the stain was soaking in more than others. (used a stain with a sealer, so he thought that woudl do it. We decided after the 8 hour wait for the staini to soak in...putting the polyurthane on it woudl be fine. So we counted up the time. 11 am to 7 pm is 8 hours. So we decided the best time to poly it was this morning.
Well...about 3 PM I caught him putting another coat of stain on it. OK. Next morning is STILL 8 hours..we are ok. Then what did he do at 4 PM? He put the poly on. that last coat of stain had ONE FULL HOUR..not 8. I didn't yell. I didnt make a big deal about it...but I did remind him the can said 8 hours and why did he thyink it would be good to do it after only one hour? he said it was outside and onehour was enough. BS. I left and went to the den and sewed. I knew better than to argue since he knows everything. So I jsut let it go. But I sure was THINKING and judging him for not following directions. (silently...I gave my oral opinion once and that was it.)
So I guess today I need to keep those JUDGEMENTAL thoughts to myself.
