This weekend, I had to be tolerant of myself. I tripped over my own feet with the help of the strap of my purse, went flying across my living room. I hit my desk, with my left arm which has been bad due to my arthritis and now I don't have much use of it. I took the top off of one knee and bruised both. Bruised rib bones and my whole body is aching, I'm too old for these antics.
I was very intolerant when I was at the hospital. I was told to sit in a chair, they didn't put me into a bed. They examined me and sent me back to the chair. My file got misplaces (so I discovered later) and I sat for five and a half hours in air conditioning. One hour give me pain and I ended up in more pain than when I went to the hospital to get check out.
I have been very sore and have trouble sleeping. I went in because I had pain in chest and trouble breathing. Since I have come home, all I want to do is sleep. That is good, it is healing. I didn't sleep Friday night at all. It was a good thing I had gone to a meeting Friday night prior to this, or I may have completely lost it on the hospital staff, especially the one nurse who told me I wasn'tas important as the people in front of me.
When I went into emergency, there was no one in the waiting rooms. Surprise, surprise! I should be out of hear in two hours.
There were only three patients in the rooms at the back, yet I was there longer than the average time of 3-5 hours. I found my file at an unused cubicle, no doctor, he had left and hadn't given my file to the nursing station. Needless to say, I wont' be in a hurry to go back to that hospital. There are two others I can go to but are farther away. I went by taxi instad of ambulance, much cheaper.
Four people came into the room I was waiting and left before I was taken to be x-rayed. I must admit to tears because of the pain. The nurse said, "Why didn't you take medication when you were at home if you were in pain?" I said, "I did, that was a long time ago" She sure won't go far on her bedside manner. She was lucky I wasn't using and I was able to work my program.
Thanks for letting me share.
