i think step work is a great idea. i would like to hear from others on this. do we need a new board for it or can we add it to general recovery?

I love the idea of step study or a meeting. In my mind I see the person teaching us the steps so we know what and how to grow from each step as we go. I find myself learning something new each day from here on the boards and from meetings, and to me that is a great thing. I am game with either way.

Hi Max,
I have been posting step work in the The step topic from Alanon and the steps we took from JoeMq. but there has been little response to it. What we need is someone with a ton of ESH to lead a step/Tradition meeting.
Thanks Arlene

Dear Family,
This is the third week of trying to start a Step Meeting and I heard from one person that she wasn't going to be able to be there, another stopped by but was in transit and wasn't able to stay.
I don't know if I am being hasty, or whether it is the time of the year, and we should see if people are willing to take part in this venture.
I have been there for an hour and a half and only one person showed. I have the time, and I don't even mind if someone wants to discuss step work with me on a one to one basis.
Tonight is my last night for bridge and my Swiss Teams. They won't start up again until the fall, and even then, if I am not asked to join a team, I won't be playing.
I am willing to do a Monday night meeting if people would rather have that. I am even willing to do both, whatever is good for the whole.
Summer is coming, and if people aren't interested in doing this then perhaps it should be postponed. I am here, hope that you will join me. Even if you have a problem today, maybe we can find the step that is the solution. Together, we can do what I can't do alone.

Hi Caressa, As stated above "Hang In There"
Ten years ago I started an AA meeting on the "Fr. John Doe Tapes". The first few months I was lucky to have one or two show up each week.
Today that meeting still exsists with a regular crowd, many of which use it as their home group!
IT TAKES TIME!
BTW, is the meeting in the "chat room" and if so when??
