One Day At a Time
This slogan has always been so helpful to me. Keep the focus on Today!
"If we've got one foot in tomorrow and one foot in yesterday, do you know what that means?......it means we're pissin on today".

R is for Respect. I had to learn to respect myself as well as others. Other's had a right to their opinion and so do I. Most times, I respectfully agree to disagree, and that is okay.
My sponsor says, "Is that too abrupt )jer word) for you." I said, "No, I prefer that you share your opinion with me. She is not an alcoholic, so there are some things we don't see eye to eye on and that is okay. There is a lot more we do have similiar like coming from abusive marriages with alcoholic spouses, children in active addiction, and daughters of alcoholic/addict parents.

T is for Trust. Through trusting my Higher Power, I learned to trust myself. Learning to trust others took a lot of healing. I still tend to want to say "Show Me!" not "Tell Me!"
