My favorites are:
"Let it begin with me" from Al-Anon (Letting go of blame)
"How Important is it?" from NA (Sobriety comes first)
"This too shall pass!" from AA (Good and bad)
and # 1 is:
Each day is a new beginning, so have a great one.

My new slogan is "Get with the program!" How many people out there need it but don't want it. It is easy to talk it but so few walk it.

Things I heard when I first got sober. 1. Your best thinking got you here. 2. You have to ACT your way into better thinking. [ works ] 3. Keep doing the same thing you get the same results. [applies to all areas of life---- in all our affairs] 4. Being right is not important..Doing the right thing is. 5. Everyone has the right to be exactly where THEY are. 6. Finally... I had to quit playing God !!! God is - I'm not.
Received with thanks from Dun

God helps those who help themselves God either is, or He isn't! God you got to be kidding! (I generally follow up this with a laugh.) Who died and made you God? Look for the person behind the disease. What Step are you working in your life today? (My reply is generally 'all of them.') Work the Steps they apply to all areas of your life. There's a tool for any nut who walk through the doors of recovery.
