SATURDAY CHIP---SERENITY/CHAOTIC
I have to say I am on the serene side of this chip today. My life has finally settled into a calmness that I rarely found a few years back. My addicted loved ones are still fighting their battles, but truth be told, I make no attempts to fix their lives. I try hard, not to invite chaos into my home. There just isn't enough room....
When life gets hectic, I use the tools of recovery, just saying the Serenity Prayer gives me peace and serves as a reminder, what life was before Al-Anon!
Have a serene Saturday....... Hugs, SunnyGirl

I to am on the serenity side of life these days. I was just sitting here looking at my to do list as it won't be long and I will basically be done doing my maintance and remodeling stuff till spring. Will it all get done before I pull the pin this year? Naw. But then it never does. I accidently aquired a maintance job about 4 years ago. Not full time as I come and go as I want. When I have stuff I want to do for mysle I just do it. For them I can have all the hours I want. As a rule of thumb they are pretty flexible and easy to get along with. But it was brought to my attention the other day that the 160 suspended in a hall that I said I would do 2 years ago isn't done yet. It might be about the last thing I get done this year if it gets done. Still have a rental house that I have to give about 10-14 days to so it looks better. Once about a time I would of been nervous about getting the stuff done. Not any more. Have told them more than once that anytime they can find someone to replace me to go for it. Live is much more peaceful this way. That I learned the hard way is that one needs balance between work and play. I have a habit of working to much. It is more a challenge for me to relax than it is to work. When I have balance life is more more enjoyable.
Have a great day,
Ron
