I am a big fan of manners and using them. I really don't feel that there is a good reason to be rude and yet today I felt myself going there.
I woman was sharing at my Al-Anon meeting today, and I had to get up and leave the meeting while she was talking. I felt really bad, especially when she quit talking as I was going out the door.
I was having muscle spasms and pains in my feet and just couldn't sit any longer. I had gotten up earlier in the meeting and did a bit of a walk about in the room but it didn't help.
It is amazing how those old tapes can keep you a prisoner of your own mind. When I get home, I will call her and make an amend for having disrupted her sharing.

I hate twhen that happens...we have to leave the room for whatever reason and others think we are jsut walking out on their conversation.
Maybe next time you see her you can apologize for having to miss the rest of her share.
I try to be polite. Rudeness is not somethign I appreciate from others, so I want to return the favor by being polite to others.

WEDNESDAY CHIP - RUDE/POLITE I was offline Wednesday, my DSL connetion was out. I called and spoke with tech support and was told there was an outage in the area. Ok fine! I asked if they could tell me about how long I woudl be down and the man was more than a little rude to me. I had a choice, I could repond in the same way I was spoken to or ignore him. I chose to ignore....... Today I got a call from the company doing a survey, asking how they were doing in the customer support department. I did share what I was told and how I was treated. Glad I didn't pop off to the tech..... Hugs, SunnyGirl
