MONDAY CHIP---ANGER/SELF-CONTROL I must have had my knickers in a knot yesterday, but today is a new day and I feel much more in control of my feelings. Recovery isn't always a "one day at a time" process, many times, for me, it's moment by moment. I struggle with those old feelings of needing to be the one controling everything going on around me. The only person I can control is me and self-control helps me to prevent angry thoughts and outbursts. Taking a little more time to meditate and working the steps is what I need........ ODAT Peace on the journey, SunnyGirl Getting my ducks in a row ! ! !

( Saw all them little ducks and instantly got paranode (sp). Naw they don't look at like they could be mine. Sure had me nervous though.) ( But on the other hand maybe they are. They are cute little things QUACK QUACK QUACK)
I don't get angery to much any more. When I do. mmmmmmmmm MOST of the time I can control my mouth. The key word there is MOST of the time. There are still times that my mouth is plenty fast and I don't much give a ripe as to who is on the recieving end. But even than my choice of words is much, much better than it use to be. I basically can shot from the hip with words that are actually in the dictionary.
I am a work in PROGRESS. As I sure ain't perfect.
Ron
( Dern I better look at them little ducks again. Naww they don't look like me. Don't have my eyes or beak. )

Hey Cherie, you wouldn't happen to know who the mother of them little ducks are would you? Didn't see her with them and thinking they shouldn't be by themselves. :-)
Ron
(Wonder if I should pack my each feathers and start flying off or wait for her answer QUACK QUACK QUACK)

This is JOE THE SQUIRREL. I don't have a computer. Ron the Duck just flew out of here like a jet on fire. He said I could use his computer if I wanted to.
Just thought I would say hi.

A sure way to determine whether I have anger is by listenng what is coming out of my mouth. So much of my feelings were internalized and it wasn't until I started verbalizing and getting stuff out that I realized how angry I really was. A sure way to know was if I swore, I talked down to someone, I ragged someone out, and I beat myself up. The good thing is being able to recognize it and having the tools to deal with it.
