I drew a chip today and it was in interesting one...hopeful or despondent.
I know this time of year...with the economy and the way peopel often get depressed at the holidays over memories of past holidays or over relationships...That is quite common this time of year.
I am not despondent. I am not at all. I am quite hopeful.
I have alot fo gifts to deliver and I ahve no idea when I will get them delivered. My best friend...we had planned for last weekend because her husband was off. But HE did not want to do it because he was on call. HE cwoudl not have anybody over or go anywhere just in CASE his beeper went off. Se we missed his weekend off to do this. We'll have to find another time. Our other good friends...had a death in the family this past weekend and a funeral yesterday and the husband is having a heart cath today. So that one will probably be after Christmas. I have a trunk full of alanon gifts and I had them ready on Monday to deleiver at the meeting when we got an ice storm that closed the church were we have our meeting. Another friend...I emailed her and she ahs the flu.
So the plans I had to get fgifts delivered this week fell thru..but i am still HOPEFUL that I will get them all delivered in the next few days.
I am hopeful that one day my husband will start eating right and will realize he has to stop drinking. Those decisions are all up to him, but I am hopeful he will do it. He has eaten so much lately that the buttons on his 3x shirts are pulling and he can't sit in a booth at a restaurant. Perhaps those things will be a lcue that eating 2 boxes of stack cales or a whole pkg of cookies, etc is not a good choice.
