SATURDAY CHIP----RELAXED/DEFENSIVE
I have just a few last minute things to do, so I am feeling pretty relaxed. "Honey" and I are going to meet friends for lunch and visit a buddy of his, who had a stroke and is in a rehab-hospital over the holidays. We are having an open house Christmas Eve and the oldest son is having Christmas dinner at his house. Smoooooth sailing....... Yep, I am on offense, very relaxed!
Peace on the journey, SunnyGirl

Starting to relax today. I don't do well with staying home all day long. We are in the middle of a snow storm here. I got up about 5 this morning and blow out my driveway. Left home about 5:45 am and the roads where bad. Worked for an hour or so and went to AA at night. The weather was really geting worse so decided to head home ( about 20 miles). Been home all afternoon and now that the sun is going do finally get the bug out of my butt to go somewhere. Storm is suppose to be better by noon tomorrow but with any luck at all I will be out of the house by 6am. This is where the insanity kicks in. Temp is suppose to be -15 and wind chill factor -37 tomorrow morning and I plan on blowing snow around. I can relax for short periods. At this point full retirement would just not be for me. I don't know what I would do if I had to live in an apartment complex or go to a factory type job. If I had my way don't ever really want to full retire. Just want to do what I do till one day fall over dead.

"Honey" retired not to long after he had bypass surgery, about 2 years ago. In the beginning he drove me nuts.... He has finally found his niche and fills the week with a little golf- visiting friends- going shopping with me ;D - yard work- and I've even convinced him that vacuuming the carpet was excellent exercise for him. It did take some time and he still gets bored now and then, but when he does, I just have to come up with a few "honey-do's" and he turn the tv to the golf channel..... I suspect you race around 90 miles a minute and when you slow down it just takes your little "duckie brain" a little longer than some, to slow down. Breathe in that good clean oxygen and exhale out of that "wanna-be-beak" and try to chill. The snow will be gone in about 3 months and you'll be back on the HOG and burnin rubber on the roads around there...... Keep the faith..... SunnyGirl

Cherie,,,,,,,,,,,,just to set the story straight,,,,,,,,,,, I don't ride a HOG. I ride a GOLDWING Actually I don't ride anything. Dern thing sits in the garage all summer and maybe gets rode 500-1000 miles. Every year I say I am going to take the time to ride the dern thing but get busy and before I realize it the season is over. I look at it this way. I bought the dern thing to enjoy and relax. But I enjoy what I do and in a way it is relaxing. Your right about the mind doing 90 mph. And that might be when I am slowing down. Wife and daughter seem to think I would not know how to function with out stress. But I don't feel stressed and my blood pressure is fine. This fits in with the subject relaxing. About the only person that calls me that doesn't want something is my sister. We talk about once a month. Otherwise no one calls me just to talk. A lawer about my age moved to town about 5 years ago and offered to buy me dinner. I nomally don't eat dinner but was curious what he wanted so went. He screwed up a good dinner. I waited the whole dinner and for two weeks after trying to figure out what he wanted. NOTHING. GEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSShhhh th guy doesn't know the rules. But last night 4 of us couples got together at and had a nice relaxing evening. It was really nice to spend the whole evening and no one wanted anything. Phone is ringing again. Merry Christmas, Ron

I was relaxed because I was snowed in. My son unfortunately was on call for snow removal and was out for 19 hours, came home for 3 and has been back out for 6 and not sure when that will end with a promise of more snow.
