Wednesday morning 8am central, my older Sister will have open heart surgery. There is a leaky valve, within the heart that is causing her a lot of trouble. I have faith that God will bring her through this, but any extra prayers would sure help...... SunnyGirl

My prayer go out to her and you my friend. God Bless. They can do marvelous things these days. I am sure she is in good hands. When we pray, those hands are in good hands.

Sis came through surgery just fine. It was a little more extensive, but she is doing as well as can be expected. Her Hubby and Daughter are alternating nights spent there with her, they live about 90 miles from the hospital. My niece keeps me up dated and your prayers keep me going.... H.U.G.S. ~SunnyGirl

Thank you for letting us know. They don't keep people in the hospitals long these day, at least not here in Canada. It is good that family can be with her. Hospitals are not nice places to be alone in.

Today is the first time I've been able to talk to my sister..... Her voice is not to strong, but she says she's getting stronger every day. If her heart rate does not stablize, they will have to put in a pace maker on Monday. Thank you for your prayers.... ~SG~

On the plus side she is on this side of the ground and breathing. And in a place where they can monitor her and do what is needed. 30 years ago might of been a different story. They do some amazing things now days and keep coming up with new stuff.
Wish her the best.

Consider the prayers ongoing my friend. It will take a lot of adjustment to get use to the pacemaker. She will be going through a grieving process although she may not be aware of it. Every time we go through change, no matter what it is, it is the same stages of grief as those when we lose someone dear. Loss of a job, loss of a way of life, a loss of what use to be, a loss of abilities and practices that no longer serve us in today, it all causes us to go through depression, sadness, bargaining, anger and acceptance.
