ccmoi2.multiply.com/journal/item/4I am coming up on 22 years. I live the program. If I had to do all the things you list at this stage of the game I would most likely drink over it. Not really, but no way am I going to live AA hour by hour.My friend's response to a post on my site. To me it isn't living AA, it is about living a life that is changed as a result of working the Steps and living in today as a result of the gifts received from AA.My response to his comments. For me, it is about doing Step 10 at night. Some times I get lax and don't delve into each day with such depth, but when things are out of balance, mainly me, it doesn't hurt to look. I don't do it point by point any more. I think it just becomes a way of thinking and an automatic way of doing things. In order to get into a healthy habit, you have to do the same thing as you did with an unhealthy one. You use it over and over again and practice, practice, practice.

Just had a discussion with someone about this. the link is to an inventory guide put out by NA. I am more inclined to agree with my friend. I have a life as a result of working the Steps. I continue to work them, but not like I use to, they have become a way of life. Not even sure I am making sense. I have a life today periiod. I wouldn't have it if I used alcohol and drugs. I would still be using alcohol and drugs if I hadn't worked the steps, found a Higher Power and a sponsor.
