Sunday Chip---Loving, caring / Indifferent
Today, I am on the loving-caring side of this chip. I am feeling warm and fuzzy toward my family, but feeling this way, unless its accompanied by actions does nothing for me or them.
I learned a long time ago that “actions speak louder than words”. If you want people to believe your words, you should "speak" with your actions. If I tell my husband I love him, then turn around and criticize and berate him, trust me, he isn’t going to feel the love. Same holds true in the work place and dealings with other people we come into contact with. A kind word and thoughtful actions can have quite an impact on most anyone.
There was a movie, “Pay it Forward”, the theme was to do random acts of kindness for complete strangers and ask only, that they in turn, pay it forward as well. I can only imagine the difference it would make if the whole world did this. But, if I put this thought to work with my family, just think how it could change the whole family dynamics.
Peace on the journey, SunnyGirl

One of my strong beliefs is "If everyone in the world made their space sacred," what a wonderful world this would be.
I am not too loving with my son today. He came here in a big grumble. Loving me by doing my own thing and I think I am going to take myself back to bed and ignore the old tape that says I should stay up and that I already had my sleep for the day and it is time to get busy.

It took me many years and a lot of dollars in legal fees to teach me now to balance my life between work and relaxation. Some years back I was looking in my appointment book and looked at my receptionist and asked her if that was my wifes name in the appointment book. She said yes. That my wife had called and scheduled an appointment. Sure enough right on time walks in my wife. When I asked her what in ths @#E@ she was doing she calmly said, "There are some things we need to talk about and your never home long enough to talk about them."
This time of year is always bad for me. A good example would of been Friday. Started about 5 am and went to bed at 2am Saturday. But I did take a little time off today. Took my little buddy to church. Took the wife shopping for a couple hours and went to daughter's for supper.
Come to think of it is not just this time of year I have a problem with. Balancing in work and relaxtion takes effort on my part. A guy I use to share and office with use to say that I could run the energizer buddy in the ground. Always thought with age I might slow down. Have a little but not a whole lot.
Did learn the hard way that all work and no play gets Ron's arse in big trouble.
Bottom line is that it is still an area that I work at because it doesn't come very natureral to me.
Have a great day and keep smiling.
Ron
