Thursday Chip---Responsible/Irresponsible
I am on the responsible side of this chip and I pretty much try to stay on it. In the past (before recovery) I always felt pretty much over whelmed by everything, work-family all of it. As a result I became very irresponsible, ignoring chores and business that critically needed taking care of. Thank God for the 12-steps and my Al-anon-NarAnon programs..... They've taught me to be responsible, for myself, my actions (or inaction) in every aspect of my life.
Peace on the journey, SunnyGirl

Responsible/Irresponsible
I've had made positive changes in my attitude and relationship with the alcoholic and am more outgoing than I've ever been yet remain irresponsible for my own health issues. For me, this is the hardest part of my recovery. SaraLee

I am responsible in making sure that I keep up with my chores and bills are paid, food on the table. But totally irresponsible for hanging up my daily clothes that I wear. I am so bad about this, usually wait until the weekend to do this. Too much information. I guess I could use the step I am powerless to make myself motivated to hang my clothes every nite before I go to bed. LOL..

Thanks for sharing.....
Saralee you are not alone in being "irresponsible for my own health issues".... "Honey" is on medicare and I have not had health insurance for the last year. Not that I used it when I did have it.... It's important to be pro-active about our health.
DG, you know what they say, "One day at a time" Change the things you can, but I try to prioritize it.... ;D
