I called my younger sister today, to give her an update her on my older sister's condition (she is back in the hospital with Pneumonia). I tried to be very up beat and friendly, as she went off on me the last time we spoke. (She has no memory of this) After the update she began to talk about the past and all of the unfortunate things that she has gone through. (98% was her own doings). I reminded her that all of the things she was talking about were history… We can’t change history! We can learn lessons from our mistakes, But it’s impossible to go back and change it…
All and all, it was a good conversation…. And I am determined to work hard at keeping myself in control of my serenity…..
Peace on the journey, SunnyGirl

Thanks for sharing. I got a call from my younger sister the other day. We kept playing phone tag for several days before we connected. It was nice that she picked up the phone for a change. She was going through a difficult time and I am glad that she knows that I will be there for her. When she calls me, it is better than me calling her. All I have to do is shut up and listen and I don't have to make conversation. We are just not on the same page and come from different ends of the spectrum.
As they say my friend, the program works if we work for it.
