This was received in an e-mail this morning and is out of context and the rest of the message is of no worth other than to those who are discussisng the topic, which is political and I choose to leave that alone.
This really struck home with me. For many years, I took things personal. How can people disagree with my feelings, my personal experience, strength, and hope. It was important to respect other people's opinions and in turn, hopefully, they will respect mine.
I thought everyone was talking about me, every word someone said was aimed at me when in truth it was my own guilt, my paranoia, and my low self-esteem and self-worth.

As Lin says, "Remember to take your QTIP with you." Don't take it personal. As someone once said to me, "How do you expect a self-centered alcoholic to look at you and see that you are having a bad hair day?" Other times, they will come up to you, thinking you need to be informed and say, "Having a bad hair day, eh Jo!"
How can I expect others to respect me if I don't respect myself?

Don't see much in the world, except for those who look to the all mighty $. Look where that got Mr. Trump. Yet that all mighty $ got him out into the public before the end of the 2 week quarantine.
Some of us don't like our own company. Would you like to be your own best friend?
