This holiday season the theaters are full of new movies I'd love to see. But this year my hubby has not wanted to leave the house very often while I was off for 2 weeks .
We only saw two and enjoyed both of them very much!
Cheaper By the Dozen...Steve martin and Bonnie Hunt...did not get a good review in teh paper, but we laughed alot. It was a good movie.
Yesterday we saw the new jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton one called Something's Gotta Give. I had to drag him there, but he admitted he really enjoyed it. It was a bit of a CHICK FLICK, but I woudl bet every man that was there was laughing his head off and enjoying himself.
I'd love to see Peter Pan, but that one I may have to wait for it to come out on HBO or DISNEY channel.
I'm not into Lord of the Rings...so I probably won't sit through 201 minutes of that.
Earlier we saw Elf, Bad Santa, and Haunted Mansion. All of those were funny, but Bad Santa was a little over the edge for me with the language. Elf reminded me of Tom Hanks in BIG with teh childlike actions of a grown man and it was enjoyable..CUTE. Haunted Mansion was funny...OK.
Mona Lisa Smile and Cold Mountain and perhaps Paycheck are the ones I might like to see or hear how anybody like them.
Have you seen any good movies?
LIN

Hi Lin, I saw Something go to give too and I really enjoyed that movie. Saw Cold Mountain on New Years Eve and it also was a good movie, Nicole Kiddman played her role very well along with the others.. its up for Academy awards. but I think Lord of the Rings will take it all.
Bad Santa to me was not a good movie. I am not into that kind of humor as to me its like abuse in a sort of way. Even tho the story line was pretty good, still to much verbal abuse. I saw Transulation a few months back, and that was pretty good too. Hopefully I am going to see Paycheck tonite with my son and his girlfriend. As far as Lord of the Rings go.. gotta wait on that movie. Yes it a VERY long movie to go sit thru.. but I think its worth it.

Yes, but it was in South Bend, Indiana, not here in Tx. No-one to go here, so I can't wait to get back, and see the new ones. I am going through movie with-drawal, LOL. THe most favorite one I saw recently was "Brother Bear", it was so beautifully done in all the colors. like fantasia. and I liked the story it presented. I want to see the one, the new one with Jack Nickolson, supposed to be very funny. I liked the one with the chihuahua, Legelly blond II. That was too funny and lots of the chihuahua. I liked Nemo. Seabiscuit, with the horses. Under the Tuscon sun. Girl, don't get me started, I have seen more movies in the theater in the last 10 months, than I have in 30 years. I LOVE MOVIES. Oh, and that scarey movie for Christmas ? can't remember what it was called. and Charlie Brown's White Christmas, and the Charlie Brown, snoopy movie, and Elf, Toy story I and II, Shrek, The Whale rider, Rabbit proof fence, School of rock, Twelth man, Pirats of the Careebean, (((((SMiles))))))))) Suzanne

Just came back from Lord of the Rings # 3. Promised the kids to go to this one. This is one of those movies that you need to follow from LTR # 1. It was very good and true to the book, but very , very long. It ran something like 3 1/2 hours. (With no intermission). So be prepared for it. There were lots and lots of fight scenes. And the graphics were great. I did find the end a little sad though. (Which I will not disclose.) Would not recommend this for little tikes though.

Honey and I rarely go to the movies, I think the last movie we went to was Casino, the one about Vegas.... Honey did enjoy that one!
My Grandson's bought us a DVD player, never figured I need one with the VCR. Once I can find the instructions for my universal remote, we are going to watch two movies the gave us, Seabiscuit and Terminator 3.
( ( ( ( Suzanne ) ) ) ) )
You are so cute...... I'll just bet you enjoyed that Leagally Blonde movie, did you take Precious with you?
Hugs, SG
