Was feeling a lot of hope today. My son told me last night he was moving into another place with a friend. Tonight he left a message to say he wasn't moving out of where he is at but moving to another room.
I know there is always hope although it seems tenuous at times. The thoughts have been in his head.
My sponsor shared with me the other day and said, "What is Hope!" It certainly isn't an action word on my part. I can't follow up the thought and prayer with anything more than more of the same.
It is not about giving up on my son, it is not giving up on God!

I can't follow up the thought and prayer with anything more than more of the same.It is not about giving up on my son, it is not giving up on God! "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Heb 11:1) The difference between faith and hope. 1. Faith believes that God can do… 2. Hope believes that God will do… 3. It is one thing for us to have faith that God can meet our every need. 4. It is another to believe that He will! Hope is confident expectation..... and IMHO this is a good expectation to have. Hope allows me to trust in a tomorrow that I can't see but have faith God can and will if I ask Him. Hope is enhance by faith, hope without faith is wishful thinking. Without hope our thoughts would turn to despair and despair says there is no help or hope. We do the best we can, we pray for our addicted loved ones and hope for a brighter tomorrow. I will keep my faith, I will always have hope and I will always love them, no matter the outcome. Thy will not my will be done..... Thanks for sharing Caressa! Peace on the journey, SunnyGirl

In the Big Book it says, "No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we can see how our experience can help others." I had to go through what I had to go through to get me to the doors of recovery. As a result of that journey, I am able to share with others who I healed and changed and hopefully, give them hope that they can do it too.
I didnt' get sick in one day. I don't recover in one day. It is a work in process which we do, one day at a time.
