B is for BALANCE....I have to keep balance in my life between work, fun, spiritual contact, and healthy living. If one of these areas gets out of balance, my life is not so smooth.

C is for Craving. You can't have a craving unless you pick up and injest the substance. You can have an obsession and a thought, but the craving has to be triggered.

H is fro HELP. I had lots of HELP in recovery. Those around me helped me find a better way to live, helped me find contentment and even happienss, and I got help from people who supported me and were not critical.

J is for Joy. It is a joy to get up each morning and remember only good things about the day before. It is a joy to be able to notice the little things, things that went unnoticed when I was using.

L is for Love. I love that you used Kentucky. There is no place like home no matter where it is, especially when you feel loved, safe and with friends there. I little love goes a long way. A lot of love is very healing.

N is for Normal. Normal is a cycle on the washing machine. I have to look at what is normal for me, and sometimes that is scary. It helps me to find balance and stay in the now.

R is for Remember. Remember the good times and the bad times. Remember waking up in the morning and remembering what you did the night before. Remember what it was like detoxing. Remember when's are not always before recovery, they are those special ones you get when in recovery.

T is for Trust. Today I trust that God is all things to all people. I trust him to guide me in the way He would have me go in today. I trust that He will direct you on the path you have chosen. I trust we will both listen and learn and trust that things are fine in His hands.
