Decided it was time to 'fess up! Two days ago I couldn't get my game Bejewelled2. I had a shortcut to the game on my desktop and I tried several times to download it and it wouldn't come up. I went to the Yahoo site, went to downloadable games, click on all and impatiently waited for all the games to download. I clicked on Bejewelled 2 and nothing happened. I went to another section and it had top ten games listed, Bejewelled was there but had no number beside the name.
Instant panic! I tried the new Bejewelled Twister but just not the same. I use to have the game, my ex-boyfriend bought it for me and I misplaced the ownership papers when I moved and couldn't reinstate it after having my computer reformated. To me that paper was gold and I still can't figure out where it went to. I was sure I had put it in a safe place.
I downloaded the free trial version, heaven! It expired, hell! I removed it from my computer, tried downloading it again and it only lasted a few minutes and it said, "Your time has expired!" I even tried Jewel Quest but it was too slow and oh so dull! Now is this sounding just a little bit like an addict. Obsessive, compulsive, who me?
Last night I ended up playing Text Twister. I could get most of the big words and would miss the small ones until the score got over 10,000 then when it was a must situation, it didn't happen and it was game over.
This morning I thought that I had reached a place of acceptance. The game has expired. They must have caught onto me playing it so much and decided to cut me off. They just knew I played it all the time. My son told me I wouldn't get such high scores if I didn't practice so much. I don't tell him the times I crash under a 1,000 points. We just tell about the wins. Who are you going to tell when you only made it to 620 when you have had a score of 162,320?
The insanity of the disease!
This afternoon, I found myself back at Yahoo. Tried one more time, clicked on Bejewelled2 and the game came up. I am a happy camper!
The substance is but a symptom of my disease! God and I are working on this one.
