When I read the reading for today, I realized that I had been compromising and although I had gone off my diet in certain areas, I realized that I had been back in the old pattern of justifying what I was doing. I love vegetables, but have trouble eating them raw. From an early age on the farm, it was always meat, potatoes, and one or two vegetables. A meal doesn't seem complete with it. If you put pasta in front of my father he would say, "What kind of an excuse for a meal is this?" Especially, if you just served him spagetti. Even if there was hamburg in the sauce, he would say, "Where's the beef?" Learning to adjust my thinking to healthy ways of eating have been difficult and when you are on a budget, it is often hard to adhere to what is truly best for you. otter008.multiply.com/journal/item/51/No_Compromises
