"People are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges."
-- Joseph F. Newton
Have been isolated from a lot of old friends and now with my computer down, isolated from a lot of my online friends.
I am looking forward to reconnecting with friends at the conference next weekend. I have felt the isolation of the spirit.
The other day when I was out and about running my errands, my Higher Power knew my needs and put six people that I know in my path.
God speaks through people, places and things. With the holiday, I missed several days of going to physiotherapy. I didn't go anywhere from Friday to Wednesday. That is too long without face to face connection with others. I didn't even go into the mall downstairs. I didn't collect my mail on Tuesday and missed out on an invitation to the local library that had to be confirmed by the eighth.
What blocks connection? Isolation of the spirit!

isolation definitely can block connection. But I also think connection can be blocked just by a lack of communication skills. People can live in teh same house...see the same people every day and not be connected. If you don't have some consistent dialogue between you, that connection can be broken.

How true Lin! Communication is the key to all relationships. Unfortunately, I learned this too late. You can always talk and try to communicate but when someone plays deaf, turns a blind eye, and just ignores you, there is nothng much you can do. Yelling and screaming and acting like a banshee doesn't work either.

When you block the negative, you also block the positive. It is all energy. What we need to deal is acknowledge the negative, we have to feel it in order to let it go. I need to process things. I think there is postive, no matter how small in a negative; and a positive is not all positive, there is bound to be a negative to be found in it. For me, it just is what it is, be it negative or process, and I have to process it by applying my program and trusting my Higher Power to direct my path through it.

Doing the opposite of what is suggested. Trying to recover on your own.

I was told, anything I put before my God, becomes my sod who doesn't have the power of my God. It can take many forms, people, places, and things.
