Prayer's for Bobbie
Bobbie and I have been friends for about 30 years.... She worked for us for many years but we have stayed in close contact with her ever since.
I received a call from her Son, saying she is going in for surgery Monday. She was just recently diagnosed with a tumor on her spine and the biopsy showed it to be cancer (stage 4 -sarcoma). Her son said the surgery is mainly to make her a little more comfortable as it has already spread through out her body.
I am sending up prayers that she will be able to enjoy the time she has left and that she does not suffer. I am also sending prayers and healing hugs to her 3 son's as they are very close to their Mother. Dr.'s don't give an experation date, I just pray God gives her whatever time she needs and spares her some pain..... Hugs, Cherie

I've been putting off making a phone call for the last two days. Bobbie's surgery went well, their aim was to make her remaining time more comfortable. I don't know whether she will opt for chemo or not....
I have not spoken directly to her since the diagnosis, all news has been filtered to me through her sons. What do you say to someone who was given this death sentence? I can't think of a single platitude that would make her feel better. If this first conversation was in person, I would simply hug her. I know she is grieving and it breaks my heart.... I do want her to know that I will be there for her in any way I can. My only plan right now is to let her take the lead and respond to her thoughts. Please remember Bobbie and her family in your prayers!
Have a great day folks, unless you have other plans..... SunnyGirl

I failed to mention that Bobbie is an active in AA and GamAnon ....
I called her a few moments ago and just hearing the sound of her voice brought me to tears.... I focused on the surgery and healing from that and told to to remember it's "One day at a time". Not sure that she had been focusing on today, but kept staring into the future.... She works a strong program and I hope she will lean on the wisdom of the rooms to help her as well as prayer.
Thanks for listening.... SunnyGirl

Thank you for the prayers Caressa....
When I spoke to Bobbie last, she did say that as soon as she is able, she will begin chemo.... This lady is a fighter and will do her part!
Peace on the journey, SunnyGirl

Bobbi has been in the hospital for the last 2 weeks, major difficulties with her breathing. Two of her 3 sons are here with her and they are moving her today to the hospice. I pray that the end is near, I hate all the suffering she has had to endure. My prayers are with her boys.... Thy will not my will!
Peace on the journey my friend.... Cherie

My friend Bobbi died this morning....
I will miss her dearly, but I am relieved at the same time. She fought a good fight, but in the end there was a lot of pain and I am just glad she is not hurting and is finally at peace. The haven't made any arrangements yet, guessing they will have to wait for her sons to get here.
Thank you for your prayers .... SG

God Took Her To His Loving Home
God saw her getting tired, a cure was not to be. He wrapped her in his loving arms and whispered ‘Come with me.’ She suffered much in silence, her spirit did not bend. She faced her pain with courage, until the very end. She tried so hard to stay with us but her fight was not in vain, God took her to His loving home and freed her from the pain.

Sorry for your loss my friend. It sounds like she is so much better for not being here but it is difficult to lose a close friend. Attachments:

Caressa,
Thank you for your prayers and good thoughts...
Honey and I were friends with Bobbi for over 25 years. She worked for us about 10 years, but quickly became much more than an employee, she became part of our family. She will be missed.... Hugs, Cherie
