I ordered the book Adult Children of Alcoholics Syndrone. It's by Mark K. I started reading it yesterday. WOW! I can really relate! Too bad it's not conference approved literature. I can't read from it at a f2f meeting.
If you see it at the bookstore or library, it's definitely worth a read!

Sounds good Lin, will check it out. I know that when I read the preface to Codependent No More by Melody Beattie, I ran to the nearest Al-Anon meeting. When I went to my first ACoA meeting, I was glad that I had been to AA and confronted my own denial about my alcoholism or I may have stayed sick or died because I identified so much with ACoA literature. I was thinking the author is Mark K, but it's WAYNE Kritsberg.
It's only $8.

I did a search and our libraries don't have but there is a copy available at Chapmans. My bridge partner is the manager of McMaster University Book Store so I am going to ask him to check it out for me.
I just received a copy of "The Shack" Where tragedy confronts eternity, which was recommended by someone at Recovery Inn. When I looked at the back page the words "Where is God in a wolrd so filled with unspeakable pain?" It had a long waiting list, took me almost three months to get my copy.
It is written by Wm. Paul Young.
