This is something that I was told that I probably suffered from although I have never been diagnosed by a doctor. Just another label to wear, and an area of my life that needed to be healed and was helped by this program. The Twelve Steps when applied to any or all of my life, have been a healing force at work and continues to allow me to live in today free of the fears and pains of yesteryear. From the article here I believe I qualify. A birth mark removed when I was a year old because my parent were told that if I fell and bumped it, I would bleed to death before they could get me to the hospital. The fears and feeling around this were compounded over the years. Being badly burnt and in the hospital for 10 days at the age of 18 months. Our house struck by lightning when I was five. The first car accident at 18 years old. Four rapes, along with mental, emotional and physical abuse from two husbands and several partners over the years caused a lot of anger, regression, introversion, low self-esttem and self-worth issues. www.psybersquare.com/anxiety/post_what.html

My husband has PTSD. He was diagnosed by the doctors many years ago. He now gets 100% disability from the VA. His was because of the traumatic things he dealt with in Viet Nam as a marine. He got the 100% disability abotu 35 years after Viet Nam. When he first cam home he was 200% ptsd. He could not make freinds...if things were going well he's throw a wrench into things. HE was more alive in a crisis. In a restaurant or public place he always had to sleep with his back to the door to se who was coming. If somebody dropped a tray of dishes, he'd jump under the table fromthe noise. He had days and weeks where he could not sleep and did nt dress or eave the house. He had many severe graphic nightmares of the voilence he had to live. He's very restless now...even if he takes his meds. HE can't sit still very long. He has to go someplace for a little while. SOme days he leaves the house 9 or 10 times.

Just thinking that my problems with sleeping may be do to PTSD. No one has ever been able to come up with a solution.
Was told that people with fibromyalgia are sensitive to noise and smells. Which ever the cause and affect, the 12 Steps have been a solution.
