Received a call from a friend requesting support for the Dual Recovery Anonymous meeting. I am unable to go because I do physio in the morning and bridge at night and can't do three things in one day.

I have been suggesting the meeting to people when the occasion seems warranted. It is for people who have medical disorders and are on medication and have a drinking problem too.

DRA - Dual Recovery Anonymous

For those who are on medication for mental disorders and have a problem with drinking, the two don't mix.

Sadly, I knew a young woman who chose not to take her medication because she wanted to drink. When she passed away, her partner donated her Big Book to our discussion group. She died before DRA came to here, now there are two meetings in our city.
