Prayer for my son

Got a call from him today to day he was going into Discovery House a treatment and safe house. He will be there until a place becomes available in a treatment center in Owen Sound. It is longer term recovery and will be six months long.

I am happy that he is going to have the opportunity. I will certainly miss him but know he has to deal with a lot of issues, especially ones that deal with growing up in an alcoholic home with an alcoholic grandfather, mother and step-father. His own dad had a lot of issues and I could put a lot of labels on him but it isn't my job and has his own issues he is not willing to deal with. He hides them under cover of his religion.

I am sending up prayers for you and your son!

This could be a miracle in progress..... ODAT

I will continue to think good thoughts, offer prayers
and keep high hopes for his recovery. This just might
be the helping hand he has needed.

Keep the faith and we'll all keep the prayers coming....

Thank you. He seems more positive this time. That is good because he has been suicidal for years. They say those that talk about it don't general do it. This year their hasn't been much talk more action toward bringing himself down.

Thank you DG. Put an update in Nar-Anon. He seems to be doing well and seems to be determined to go away to treatment and as he said, "Get his act together."

My son came by today. It doesn't look like he will get away to the treatment center until the New Year. I hope he will be content to stay where he is over the holidays or can have a leave of absense and go to my sister who lives in the country.
