Thank you for sharing Caressa....
Finding balance is finding the middle ground.....
My life before recovery was like taking a ride on a Merry
Go-Round, lots of ups and downs. Life is a lesson on a
daily basis, it's learning to compromise. The road to
recovery is not a straight highway, but one filled with pot
holes, mountains, valleys and sharp curves. I've learned
that you have to keep your eyes on the road and be
prepared for the unexpected. It's in the valleys we grow,
taking the lesson with me all the way to the peak of the
mountain.
Finding balance between our recovery needs and family
or business commitments takes finding the middle ground
or the balance that works for us, almost like juggling. I
wouldn't know if my chakras were out of align if they jumped
up and hit me in the head. I have learned to give to others,
while taking responsibility for myself. I have learned to take
care of my feelings, as well as my own physical, mental, and
spiritual needs.
"On the tightrope of life, only one thing allows us to
move forward, and that one thing is balance. Without balance we
fall into chaos, we fall behind, we miss out on what true choices
we have in life." - - Laura Kangas
