"What other people think of me is none of my business."
I needed this reminder today! Often times we don't live up to other peoples expectations and they become very unhappy with us. In the old days (before starting this journey) their mood and opinions were a focal part of my life. I worked hard trying to keep them happy and trust me, it was exhausting......
I have learned that my feeling are valid because their mine and I've learned to trust and rely on them. Not everyone around me will agree with me and that's OK, their feelings are valid too. I don't need other peoples approval, what's important is I can look at my face in the mirror and know that I am being true to myself.
Today, I am reclaiming my life and all my feelings, the good, the bad and the ugly. With God's help I will sort through and keep the good and figure out what direction I need to be heading with the rest of it. I know that I have a loving Higher Power, who will get me to exactly where I need to be.
"The goal in recovery is to find the balance: We take responsibility for ourselves, and we identify our true responsibilities to others." - - Melody Beattie
Peace on the journey, SunnyGirl
Responsibility is our topic for this weeks meeting, good thing, I am needing it......

Hope to have my computer fixed by meeting time. A friend is picking up my computer on Monday morning to take it to the repair shop. If it is fixable, I will get it back that day or on Tuesday.
