U is for Unity. Without you, there is no me. We unite under a common bond and purpose. Sobriety (soundness of mind) is a gift which leads to Peace and Serenity and understanding of a Higher Power.

"Often when we're being tough and strong, we're scared. It takes a lot of courage to allow ourselves to be Vulnerable, to be soft." —Dudley Martineau

W is for Work. Working the Steps is the path to recovery for me. It is a process that never stops. I don't consciously pull a Step out of the air these days. They have become a way of life for me. When it doubt, I take my inventory to see where I am at in today. Sometimes when it feels good, it means there is a time to change or I have become complacenet in my ways and need to fnd a willingness to be willing to help others, to get out of self and willing to do what ever it takes to stay clean and sober today. Sobriety is soundness of mind for me. Whether it is my addiction, alcoholism, codependency, or my thinking is off as a result of my computer, my bed, and other things I can pick up to get out of me looking at me. I am grateful for all of you for being here for me when I can't get out to meetings. Attachments:

Y is for Yesterday. It has gone. You can't change it. You can look back and learn from it. You can look back to see what you did right or wrong. We don't have to hide from our past; we can confront it, feel the feelings, and let go and let God.
