"Happiness is a journey, not a destination; happiness is to be
found along the way not at the end of the road, for then the
journey is over and it's too late. The time for happiness is today
not tomorrow." - - unknown
It's taken me a while, but I've learned that it's my job to
create my own happiness. If I look to others for it I am
going to be disappointed most of the time.
I think I may be turning into an eternal optimist.... Looking
for the positives in every situation has helped me with this.
I know for years everything around me felt like "doom and
gloom". I still have a bad day now and then, but I try to
look at the bright side of it in any case.
This morning I talked to my youngest son (my qualifier), he
was at work and not at all happy.... I listened to him for
about 3 minutes, moaning and groaning about life in general.
He hates for me to give advice, so I try to honor this and
if I have any "suggestions" I keep them short and sweet.
He's not happy, life's a mess, hates his job, etc etc etc.....
My suggestion for him was "CHANGE IT" .... He says "yeah
how"? My response "ODAT"..... At this point he had a
customer come in and he had to get off the phone, but he's
suppose to stop by today or tomorrow. I would love nothing
more than for him to find happiness, but I'm not thinking this
will happen until he gets sober.
Life's to short to short to spend it feeling miserable! I am the
author of the book on my life and it's not going to be a horror
story.
Peace on the journey, SunnyGirl
