L is for Luck. Found out I needed to make my own. I couldn't just sit back and make it happen, I had to work for my sobriety if I wanted a new way of life.

R is for: Stuck-In-A-Rut Syndrome If doing the same thing over and over again is making you happy, great! But if it's not, maybe now's the time to do something about it, because the chances are you've caught it - SIAR, or Stuck-In-A-Rut Syndrome.

R is for Reason. There was no rhymn or reason to my life prior to recovery. Recovery gave me a reason for living. A grateful alcoholic will never have a reason to pick up, he may find many excuses, but no reason to turn his back to the gifts he finds in recovery as a result of working the Steps. Attachments:

S is for Service. Service is what helped me to regain my self-esteem. Getting out of myself and getting active in my group be it f2f or on the internet. I just got a call last week from the new Institutional Co-ordinator for Al-Anon. She is making a new schedule for people going into the local jail. I have been going off and on for 17 years.

T is for Treasure. Treasure yourself. You are worthwhole. Don't give yourself away, value yourself. Top yourself up and only give away the overflow. Treat yourself with some tender loving care.
That doesn't mean not to be there for others. It means you can't be there for others if you can't be there for yourself.[/color]
