It's been some time ago but we had a very good discussion
on the merit's of medical marijuana...
eor.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=general&thread=6189&page=1
Now California is trying to legalize it for anyone
of legal age (21)....
Most Americans still oppose legalizing marijuana, but cash
strapped California is using it as a tax incentive to put more
more in their coffers. The state is broke, therefore they will
go to any length for more money.
It's my understanding that the federal law still considers
pot as an illegal drug and I am not sure how any state can
make a law that is in total disregard to a federal law.
Marijuana use impairs perception, judgment, thinking and
memory! All this world needs is another legal drug that
can cause more lives to be shattered by "impaired thinking."
Hopefully there are enough responsible adults that don't
smoke cannabis that will put the possibility of legalized pot
out of the question. VOTE NO TO LEGALIZE POT
If this bill passes in November, what will they legalize next?
Please share your thought's....
Peace on the journey, SunnyGirl

Going To Pot: CA’s Legalization Initiative
Fourteen years after approving medical marijuana and starting a trend followed by 13 other states, California may soon become the first state to legalize pot for "recreational" use for the over-21 set. The private use of pot opens a whole new set of doors, and well before election day, powerful forces are lining up on both sides: Critics, including most law enforcement groups, say legalizing pot will only hurt California. Supporters, including pot growers and dispensaries, argue passage will generate jobs and much-needed revenue.
