recovery from alcoholism/ addiction has manifested itself among us in many different form's.

most of us think the awareness of a power greater than ourselves is the essence of spiritual experience.

most emphatically we wish to say that we are capable of honestly facing our problems in the light of our experience can recover, provided we do not close our minds to all spiritual concepts.

we can only be defeated by an attitude of intolerance or belligerent denial.

spirituality program;

willingness, honesty , open- mindedness...

are indispensable in our recovery......

there is a principle witch is a bar against all information,
witch is proof against all arguments and witch cannot fail to keep a man/ women in everlasting igorance.

that principle is

CONTEMPT PRIOR TO INVESTIAGTION

learn, to solve it,,, its a gift....



we all veiw our recovery in all kinds of ways,,

do to the fact we feel it's a touchy subject...

we seem to tiptoe around...

for fear we may offend someone..

let's talk about our spirit!

think about the spirit.

ok when;

there are days when the only thing i know about myself is that iam an addict.. but that is just one part of my
SPIRIT.......................

i accept that part now....

now iam realizing i have many other parts of my spirit...

i feel great when i accomplish something.

i feel gratified when i share with someone or at a meeting.

its so fulfilling to be clean and working my program..

so now iam realizing recovery and my hp has gave me more... knowledge of my spirit....

i am now learning more about myself...
taking a deeper look inside...

now that iam stopping the fight,
of addiction..
my hp is given me time to learn.. look inside and find my spirit..

with help of the program, i have a pen, a message board , type writer, to help process my spirit..

i also know that i can whine to my hp,
when i don't get what i need, but my hp, listens to me.
then gives me exactly what i need..

so today and right now my hp is helping me find my
spirit....

iam not scared to share it...

i am learning.... who iam...... how to deal with myself..

a spiritual awakening.. i would say so.......

i am grateful for the help from my hp...

to help me look deep and find my fears, my happiness,

and work through them ... finding my spirit...

sometimes we think being strong ;
means'' not giving into our emotions..

BUT that's not strengh, that's denial and resistance.

real power comes from ,being vulnerable enough to feel whatever we feel..
feeling our emotions ,when letting us release them..

so we can move forward into new circumstances,,,
into ''growth..

their is a magic ''in allowing our feelings to pass through us.....

Dear Rose Pedal Girl----I have to utilize not analyze!!! When I try to get into real heavy thoughts it can bring my spirit down. I try to keep it simple and be spontaneous cuz then my spirit can be light and flowing. I like to laugh and tell jokes. I like to compare ideas and
thoughts. I like to enjoy my life.
That keeps my spirit light and happy. Just a few of my own opinions & thougts---Mistyeve

[glow=red,2,300]Everone has his or her own idea of a Higher Power. The program is set up so that their Hp is what they want it to be. We are not to judge less he be judged your self.[/glow]

My first sponser I thought the first time he talk about his HP he was Wacked!. You see his Hp Was a Door Knob. He was instatutionalized in a rehab center, and in order to get out of his 5 foot by 9 foot room he had to use the door knob. It was several days before hi could even get to it. So when explained that way it sort of made sience then, and wasn't so crazy as fist thought.

Of couse his Hp changed with his program. He took it literaly I think one step at a time.

So can't judge a book by the cover! What is crazy to one might be sainaty to another or might just need it to geep sain.

Just as what works for me might not work for you. Thats why this is a selfish program in that case. Take what you can use through away what you can't if you need it it will come, if you Pray for it, and truly need it it will come. i belive this and so far it has ben dead on. My HP <--- [another term so that your HP and my Hp may be differant but their common in that term] take and does for me what I can not do my self. Easy to explan i think LOL THEIR IS NO I IN TEAM. But most of the time my HP takes cair of it. Because if I don't give it up! I woulnt get any satisfaction in getting the job done.

Have heard this expression for years. I like what a friend of mine days, "Take what you need and what you don't need. What you don't need you can pass on to someone who does need."
