K is for Kin. The people in the rooms of recovery were my extended family and at times, my only family support.
I am greatful for the kindred spirits that I have me along the way. Many have been guardian angels, who have shared their kindness as we travelled the road to recovery together.

L is for LETTING GO. This is a big thing fo rme. I had to let go of alot of behaviors (mine as well as others) had to let go of my need to control, let go of anger and resentments, etc. It was for my best interest. When I let go of thengs that are not really mine to control, I am much happier. LIN

O is for Open Mind. When I open my mind to new things, I can open a new world of awareness. My best thinking got me to the doors of recovery. I had to learn a new way of living. I had to change my thinking so I had to be open to new ideas, concepts, and spiritual sources. Attachments:

P is for Pride. Some times we can have a false sense of pride. It is good to have pride in ourselves and take pride in how far we have come in our recovery. What we can't forget is how we got here and who was the real ' power' at work in our lives.

Q is for Quiet. Quiet your mind. When you find i he stillness listen for the answers. At the end of Step Three, it says: Once we have come into agreement with these ideas, it is really easy to begin the practice of Step Three. In all times of emotional disturbance or indecision, we can pause, ask for quiet, and in the stillness simply say: "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to changethe things I can, and wisdom to know the difference. Thy will, not mine, be done."
