AUTOBIOGRAPHY IN FIVE SHORT CHAPTERS =====================================
CHAPTER 1
I walk down the street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I fall in. I am lost. I am hopeless. It isn't my fault. It takes forever to find a way out.
CHAPTER 2 I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I pretend I don't see it. I fall in again. I can't believe I am in the same place. But …it isn't my fault.
CHAPTER 3 I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I see it is there. I still fall in. It's a habit. My eyes are open. I know where I am. It is my fault. I get out immediately.
CHAPTER 4 I walk down the same street. There is a deep hole in the sidewalk. I walk around it.
CHAPTER 5 I walk down another street.

Was thinking of this the other day. I think I referred to it in one of my posts. Glad it hasn't been erased.

I can't change the title of this because I don't remember the password for Caressa2. I should have titled it 'Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results!" I probably didn't do it because it was too long and Step 2 seemed to be a way of keeping it simple.

Always a good remember when. I don't know about anyone else, but I can still find myself doing it in today. I contribute it to old age, seeing as I have been clean and sober for 25 years. It just goes to show me, it is and was the thinking behind the drinking and drugging. It isn't only about alcohol, it is other things I can substitute for the alcohol that leads to the same soul sickness.
