My heartfelt gratitude to all of you who welcomed me so warmly. I am new to recovery and have attended a few Al-Anon meetings. I am at a place where I am ready to reach out to help myself. I found this board and feel it will be a safe support in my journey. Thank you for your kindness.

That gratitude goes in both directions, I am so very
grateful that you chose Essence of Recovery as your
new on-line recovery home.
I qualify for Alanon/Naranon/ACOA..... My youngest
son is an active alcoholic, along with two nephews
and a sister. My daughter and grandson are my
qualifiers for Naranon and my father + 3 step dads
were all alcoholics (ACOA)....
I am addicted to nicotine and am I have cut back to
5-6 cigs per day and at some point I will put them down.
It's all one day at a time....
I hope you check out the Alanon and Naranon sections,
lots of good information that will help you to begin this
journey..... Sharing our experience, strength and hope
on the message boards helps us through the day. If
you have problems or need any help on the boards just
let me know.

How do I add one of the cute attatchments to my signature? At the bottom of the board there is a section called....Test your Signature The very first thread is titled .....FYI - Using gif's or images in your post Gives you step by step information, if it sounds to confusing and you need some help, start a thread and let me know what type of picture you want to put up for yourself. I have one little Tweety flying on the left side and my signature gif (picture) is at the bottom of my post along with a saying. You have to go into your profile to put the icons or pictures, play around with it and let me know if I can help.... SunnyGirl OBTW..... I use photobucket for the majority of my images have a very helpful link for finding something you might like to use.... photobucket.com/findstuff/ |
