I just started a new meditation book . Wanted to share the intro with you ....the title of the book is "BOOMERANG JOY" by Barbara Johnson
Life: we're all in in together (some just deeper than others!). No matter how deep, we cold all do with some boomerang skills. Used for war and hunting, boomerangs soar upward when missing a target, then curve in the air to return toward the thrower. They can be thrown more than one hundred yards before coming back; with skill, close enough to be caught by hand.
The game of life is a game of boomerangs. Our thoughts, deeds, and words return to us sooner or later with astonishing accuracy. If you're tired, worn by life. r just plain burned out, try throwing a little boomerang joy!. Let's face it: there are times when your best friend is out of town, your husband out for the day, your pastor , counselor, and hairdresser out to lunch. You've got to hone your ability to fling a smile a mile. Sure as anything, it'll come back to you, more accurately each time you toss it out.
Let's honor the way of the aborigine, the originators of authentic boomerang power. Go hunting for humor. Use the tool that will soar away and curve in your own back yard. Fling it! Toss it! Sling it! Start right where you are. Get your throwing arm in shape by exercising the muscles in your funny bone. get wacky, wild, whimsical. Want happiness? Throw a little bommerang joy!
