Starting the day with a few minutes of contact with God enables us to draw from His strength that which we need. Throughout the day, when we become weary or perplexed or pressured, we can pause to renew that contact. It is a constant source of Power whenever we open ourselves to it.
- Food For Thought.
Sobriety for me, means soundness of mind. I can not use anything that takes me out of myself, and maintain that peace and serenity unless I go to my Higher Power.
Food is stuffing my feeling. Work is escaping my feelings. Things that often seem to be 'okay' can stifle or feed our addiction. My goal is emotional sobriety, one day at a time. I can't substitute other things for my drug of choice. The only good substitute is my God.
I need to fill up that empty void and comfort that hurtful feeling with my God. He is my rock and my salvation. He saves me form myself.

There was no other way for me. For me, to use is to die.
Yesterday was proof of that. After eating Chinese food, my blood sugar was 11.5. the nurse says, Well we know what raised my normal 3.3 to 6.2 bs here in the hospital. I was getting that kind of figures when I was home and decided to treat myself.
My blood sugar is good when I am good.
