hi everyone! this is sheila formally known as sheila i would like to take a moment and talk about what recovery through A.A. has done for me im in a point in my life where the road can go two ways up or down and comming from a life of using and abusing my road always traveled was down but now im on a new road with hopes and dreams recovery isint easy but it sure is better than what i had my higher power has traveled this road with me and continues to do so i truly believe in the action part of the program faith without works is dead you all will be seein alot more of me arround here i will be chairing the chat room to welcome anyone who should stop by and wanna chat or have a mtg so feel free to do so i would love to talk with ya and share some recovery its about reaching out for me today and that is what im doing is reaching out thank you so much for the oppertunity to share with you god bless and take care...lala

Hi Sheila,
Thank you for your sharing here on the boards. I feel at home already. I may get into chat one of these days....don't hold your breathe tho...LOL. I have popped in a couple of times but no one has been there. I am on at odd times of the day and mostly nights from here in Texas.

Time/days/dates have no real significance in my brain anymore. Half the time I don't know what month or year it is even. Thanks to the stroke and lack of oxygen to the brain for over 10 minutes....thanks to my old love alcohol. Luckily there really isn't much damage.

Sober today....adaat.

I am just so thankful to be here.
