Just for today, I will not play leap frog but I will move forward one step at a time.

In AA slang there is a thing called "2 stepping" where you only work the 1st & 12th steps ignoring the other 10 steps in between. It is NOT recommended. One step at a time is just like what you suggested.....Bunnypie

Then you get the other two steppers, the 13th and 14th Steppers. The 13th Stepper is one those, men and women who hit on newcomers, while they are vulnerable and often get into an unhealthy relationship with them. As they say, "No relationship in the first year, you need to learn to have a relationship with your sponsor, your God and yourself.

The 14th Stepper is making an amend for having 13th someone new to recovery or just coming back.

LOL JO!----I have heard of more people doing the 13th step then the 14th step! I have to concentrate on the 12 steps and keep going over them. It is said that we never graduate from this program and that is a good thing because sometimes I feel like I am flunking out!!!-----Bunnypie

The last promise "God is doing for us what we can not do for ourselves" is so powerful and reassuring to me! I like to equate it to an old rock song called Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf. When God is doing it-it feels like a magic carpet ride!!!!------Bunnypie

Just for today, I will pause before pointing fingers to remember I have flaws and am not perfect.

The demonstration of pointing your index finger and you have the other 3 fingers pointing back at you is an example of this! The first 2 words of the first step make me aware that I am not perfect "we admitted" LOL if I was perfect I wouldn't have anything to admit!!!

I am stressed for success! I just want to get it taken care of and put it behind me! I have noticed the grass is getting real green and I saw a couple of robins! These are God's miracles that winter might actually be over??!!! Good advice and I will try to follow it.
