U is for Understanding. I had to come to my own understanding. I could get feed back from others, but the ultimate decision(s) were mine.

W is for Wish. Sometimes my Higher Power supplies my wants and desires, not just my needs. I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish, I wish tonight. I wish all who read this, may stay clean and sober, for one more day. I was told to give thanks, it is already on it's way.

X is for X-Ray. Recovery is an inward journey. Look within to see what needs to be healed, changed, revised, forgiven, resolved, and rethought. We heal from the inside out, not the outside in. Take a look inside. Does the inside match what is showing on the outside. What is being reflected from within. Is your beauty skin deep or does it radiate from within and allow others to catch a glimpse of your connection to your Higher Power.

Z is for Zeal. I needed to be zealous about my recovery. As it says in the Big Book, half measures availed us nothing. I only get out of recovery what I put into it. Attachments:

C is for Courage. The courage, strength, and wisdom to know the difference comes from our Higher Power. The courage to go through each day without having to pick up that first one, one day at a time.

D is for Discovery. By working the 12 Steps and applying it to your life, you discover the real you. Not the person you think you think you are or should be, not the person people tell you should be, not the person you were told you were all of your life, but the real you, the one loved and created by your God.

I is for Intent. No need to be embarrassed, I think your intent was good. I would rather see you post, whether it is in order or not. For me, sharing is important, and I so miss being able to be here.
