Hope to go to my sister's but just talked to her today and she has to go for a stress test next week. She has been having chest pains and if they last any longer than 15 min. after taking her medication, she is suppose to go to the hospital. I would appreciate you keeping her in your prayers.

Talked to my sister this evening. She said that they found 5 blockages in her heart, two veins to thin, because of diabetes, to put in stints. They may have to do heart bypass. She is on an urgent heart list and waiting to hear from a heart surgeon. I would appreciate your continued prayers.

Just got a call from my sister. She went into the hospital last night because she had chest pain. The surgeon who was suppose to operate on her is in North Bay on a seminar; and won't be able to get here for the operation. Another doctor is operating on her on Sunday. I hope to go see her tomorrow of it isn't snowing. Your continued prayers would be appreciated.

Just got back from the hospital. She doesn't have a time for her surgery tomorrow, but it is suppose to happen. I told her if it snowed I wouldn't be in, her daughter is going to be there Monday, so hoping to go on Tuesday if it clears.
Your prayers are appreciated.

When I phoned my sister to say goodnight yesterday, she told me that she wouldn't be operated today, but she is in the hospital until they do. She say it will be Monday OR Tuesday. Your continued prayers would be appreciated.

Called my sister to say goodnight and she let me know that she is being operated on Thursday. They have moved her to another floor and she will be there until she goes for her operation. Then she will be removed to recovery and from there, she is not sure. I told her that it sounded like she was bed hopping.
Prayers are appreciated. She was told that two valves were operable and one was kind of iffy.

My sister is now scheduled for surgery on Thursday. One valve is very iffy (Doctor's quote) and may be difficult to repair. She has been moved to another floor, which is a semi private instead of a four bed ward. I can't get over that she had two men in her room. Your continuing prayers are appreciated.

I went to see my sister in the hospital yesterday. She has been moved to another floor and she is booked for surgery at 12 noon today.
One valve the doctor isn't sure he can repair.
Your continued prayers are appreciated.

I just talked to my brother-in-law. He said she was doing better than he expected. She said he was worrying more than she was. Personally, I believe it is the power of prayer. Apparently she has been out of bed and sitting on a chair, so that is good.
I need a few prayers myself as I am dealing with a major resentment because he or his three daughters never called me and updated me. He said she was in ICU and that it was for family only and they had it covered. She is suppose to go to Step Down, whatever that is, and more or less implied it was part of ICU and I had to wait until she went back on the ward. I wanted to say, "What am I chopped liver? I am her sister."
Thanks for all your prayers.

Just got a call from my sister tonight. She is going home tomorrow afternoon. She has a 4" and an 18" scar on her legs after her heart surgery. They are very pleased at how well she is doing. I reminded her that a lot of people were praying for her.

Thank you all for your prayers for my sister. She called me today and woke me up, for which I was glad. Yesterday she went to Bible Study, tomorrow she is having lunch with her mother-in-law, sisters-in-law and an aunt of her husband. Friday she gets the staples out of the surgical wounds in her legs.
So it would seem she is getting better and I know it is a result of prayer. She said today that if she had more to do on this world and God wasn't finished with her she would be grateful, if it was her time to go, she was ready.

Talked to my sister last night and she informed me that she had gone out for lunch in this cold and had pains in her chest. I can't believe she would do such a thing. I cancelled my chiropractor's appointment today because they still have a weather warning out because of the cold. I went out yesterday using Darts to go and a taxi to come back and all I had to do was go from the door to the vehicle. Even then it was cold, and have had chest pains yesterday and today.
I hadn't heard from her so picked up the phone. She said she had a couple of stitches that were infected and she was on antibiotics. To hear her, she was just fine when I talked to her last Thursday. We know what fine means, perhaps I should enlighten her. F.I.N.E. Frustrated, Insecure, Neurotic, and Enjoying it. That is the polite version, it still works. Some say "Emotional" but we can be that every day. So often we enjoy sitting in our stuff, we get more attention that way or we don't want to admit to what is happening in the moment and put on a false brave front, for whatever reason.

Oh Jo!----your sister seems to be on a roller coaster of health issues! I heard a woman say in a meeting that she prays to God "either make it better or take me home" I can sure understand that kind of thinking and prayer!!!-----Bunnypie

Talked to my sister yesterday and she is still coughing. It wasn't pneumonia as they thought, it WAS congestive heart failure. She sees the specialist at the end of this month as a follow up of her heart bypass.
Your continued prayers are appreciated.

Was at my sister's for Easter. I asked her if she felt up to having us. She was cooking for 7 others, so what are two more, except that my son eats enough for three skinny people. I do get envious when I see him eat. He is skinny and I get fat just watching him eat.
My sister did brunch at the church and got up at 5:30 a.m. to prepare for it all. I wish she could say no, better still, have her husband say no for her, which he would never do. He feels like she should never say "No!" to anyone, especially if it makes him look good.
Continued prayers please, for her and me as I find myself resentful. She never goes to the doctor at the first signs of any symptom until her disease is well advanced. The same thing happened with her diabetes as well as her heart condition.

Asking for continuing prayers for my sister as she is back in the hospital. They thought she had pneumonia and now they are saying she has a blood infection.
