I got word from my niece today that my sister is doing better. She was put in intensive care and will be in the hospital for a while.
Continued prayers would be appreciated. She has a husband and three daughters and two son-in-laws.

Went to the hospital today and had to wait for her to come back from an MRI. She was not good this morning. She was nauseated and not in a good place.
The are trying to stabilize her medication. They are trying to get rid of the fluid in her lungs and giving her lots lof fluids and on the other hand, giving her a diaretic. She was heavily sedated and just opened her eyes for a moment, don't know if she will remember me being there. It was almost not worth getting gowned and gloved up, but I wanted to see her. I should have waited until later to go, but don't like leaving it too late in the day to get back home.
My son would never be able to go in and see her, while she is hooked uo to all the tubes and looks so bad. I know he would just lose it. She looked worse today than when I saw her the other day.
Your continued prayers would be appreciated.

Found out last night that they found bacteria in an IV and they had to change her antibiotics. Today she is not totally relying on oxygen, and better able to breathe on her own. Your prayers are appreciated. We can do what I can't do alone. According to D. J. Conway, the Elephant's attributes are: Removal of obstacles and barriers. Always being willing to learn new things. Building confidence. Patience and confidence to tackle a new job, schooling, or learning situation.

Went in to see my sister today. I didn't wake up with the sore throat, even so, I wore a mask to go in to see her. She looked better than she did last week. They still have a tube down her throat and she isn't liking it. They figure in a couple of days she will be able to come off the oxygen to breathe on her own, so prayer is working. All prayers are appreciated.

Thank you, she did not have a good day today. I really don't think the doctors know what to do about her. I can only see God's Grace and healing power as a solution to her recovery. She does have pneumonia and they are trying to get the fluid off her lungs and trying to get her off the oxygen so she can be mobile. Your continued prayers are appreciated.

I went to see her today and was saddened by the fact that she did not look much improved. I didn't like her colour and she still has the tube down her throat. She does not look that much improved although my niece says that the doctors and nurses have been doing therapy to help her. She has much more faith in the medical profession than I have.

My family has not kept me informed as to my sister's condition. When I saw her on Thursday, she looked worse, certainly not any better. They were sending her for X-rays but haven't heard the results. They are to do surgery this week to take the tube out of her mouth and insert it into her throat. Your continued prayers would be appreciated.

Thanks for your prayers. My sister had the operation today to insert the tube in her neck instead of in her mouth. She can now go on regular foods and not be fed by IV. She has smiles and frowns today, so that was good. Her blood pressure and pulse were up. I asked about it and they said they had her on medication by IV. Thank you for your prayers they work. Continued prayers would be appreciated.

My error, I misunderstood my niece, she is still being fed by IV. Went to see my sister today, she is much more lucid and she was able to smile at her daughter's antics. I didn't stay too long, even though I covered up and wore a mask, I didn't want to give her anything or pick up anything that will make my situation worse. I will be glad when I get the results of my tests. I haven't wanted to stay away, but I have had to be cautious and only go when I am feeling good. I go up there and when I come home I crash. So I would appreciate continued prayers for her and her family. This is exactly how I have been feeling.

Because I seem to have an infection, I haven't been going in to see my sister. My son got a text from my niece to say that my sister is walking and talking a little bit. Sounds good. Thank you for your prayer. It is good to see God's Work in action. Your continued prayers would be appreciated.

Went to see my sister today as I was feeling better. There is a sign in the lobby of the hospital, that say, "If you are not feeling well, do not visit patients.
She didn't look as good as she did the last time I saw her, but they say she is doing well. They gave her a walker and yesterday she tired herself out by doing too much and today was a down day. She slept for about 90% of my visit, but at least I got to see her. I have 3 appointments tomorrow, so might not get up to see her until Thursday.
Your continued prayers would be appreciated.

Thank you for all your prayers. They seem to be working, I went to see her today and she was sitting up reading and that was after doing 2 1/2 lapse of the ward.
She is much more bright eyes and she is off all narcotics. I think they are taking the tube out of her throat tomorrow, not sure if it is that for the feeding tube, more will be revealed. The nursing staff is amazed at how far she has come. I told them it was an answer to prayer.

Just want to thank everyone for your prayers. My sister is being moved out of ICU today, as soon as they find a bed for her. They have removed most of the tubing and she is mobile and talking. Prayer works!

Thanks everyone for your prayers. I went to see my sister for about two hours today. She is sitting up and can talk, they are removing the last of the tubing tomorrow and depending on test results, she will be going home Monday or Tuesday. The staff are really surprised at how well she has done. Sadly, the words I am hearing from my sister are, "I am a strong woman, I...." It made me sad. Didn't hear much about through God, I have healed and through His Love and Care, I am doing better.

Phoned my sister the other day and she didn't have time to talk because she had 22 kids in her day care. She said, "It is okay, I am not lifting the kids." Another day I phoned only to find that she had a rash around the incision in her throat from the bandaging they used.
I worried that when she got home she wouldn't have proper care and she wouldn't take care of herself, because I wasn't too sure anyone else would be there to do it. A lot of attention when she was in the hospital.
I got a call from her today to say that she has got infection in her toe, where the infection started that landed her in the hospital in the first place. She said, "Hopefully, this time we caught in time."
Please continue prayers for her, even if it is to pray for her to practice some self-care.

Just talked to my sister this morning. Her toe is still infected and she thinks she has the shingles. I said, "Have you been to the doctor's?" She said, "No, but I have to make an appointment." She had been waiting for someone to take her. Needless to say I was not a happy camper. Everyone else is too sick or too busy. She doesn't drive, so she is dependant on others because she lives in the country, but she is a great one for putting things off and putting others first to her own detrement. Not sure that is spelled right, but it still means, that she gets sicker and sicker, and that is how she got into the hospital the last time. Your continued prayers would be appreciated.

Talked to my sister last week when she said that her toe was still infected. I said, "Get to the doctor's!!!" She phoned me today to say that she had been to a health clinic, but never saw her doctor. She is on the fair board and she informed me that she had worked there for two hours and had to be taken to the hospital. She is on more antibiotics. My son said, "She is stubborn just like you Mom." I can't see my heart, I can just feel it go boom once in a while. She can see her toe and know it is infected. She was in the hospital for 8 weeks before, she knows where this can take her if she doesn't take care of herself. She also says that she thinks she has shingles. The clinic said it was pulled muscle. She said that the pain was much more than that. Even after all that, if her treatment by a VON is over by Sunday, she wants to go up and see our aunt who is celebrating 100 years. I think her toe is more important. There is no reason why she can't wait another week. Your prayers for her would be appreciated.
