Just for today, I will let go of my resentment. I want to go out and about because the sun is shining, but my left hip and right knee, keep giving out on me. I really want to go to the noon meeting, but don't think my leg will let me stand on it, let alone walk. I did a healing meditation last night, so I guess it is back to the drawing board and have a little more faith.

Oh JO!!!!----You are getting it from both sides! If it was just on the left side you would still be "all right" Sorry! just a little humor only a little! I am up and down every few hours because my bladder is so weak. I don't dare go any place that doesn't have a bathroom. I understand how you feel when you want to do something and your body is causing you pain or problems! I have to set limitations and or boundaries whether I like it or not! Bunnypie

I try to work through the pain and not allow it to rule my life. Some days you just have to tell it to go away. I was all set this morning to do up some dishes and clean my kitchen and go down and do laundry, only to be reminded that I have no water. Housing has shut it down for repair. I got the notice, but forgot.

Just for today, I will work through my issues, be it mental, emotional, spiritual, or physical. They can make themselves known in many ways, often the emotional will let you know through the physical, etc. If you feel like you don't have a leg to stand on, perhaps you are feeling insecure. If you have an ear ache, perhaps there is something you need to heed and listen to. If you have a sore throat, perhaps you are suppressing words that need to be expressed.

Just for today, I will live in the moment. Today is February 25, 2016. I am not going to look a head and project that Christmas is 10 months away from today. I know that when I stay in today, thing will unfold and the Good Orderly Direction will be there when I need it.

Hey Jo---John Lennon has a line in a song called "mind games" and the line really helps me a lot! He says "Taking the Future Out of the Now" What great advice and a simple concept: Taking the future out of the now....Bunnypie

Smiling was just a chuckle I was having to myself when I saw the date. I am pretty good at staying in today. I don't have a lot of false responsibilities that says I HAVE to do it in today. I know that tomorrow never comes, it is always today. I can still use the thought though when it comes to laundry and housework.

Just for today, I will prioritize and put first things first. The most important is my sobriety. I was talking to a friend in the mall today and had a mini-meeting. He affirmed and we agreed that we need emotional sobriety, and that we had a thinking problem not a drugging problem. A drug is a drug, no matter what form it takes. It is the thinking behind the picking up that caused most of the problems. Problems we stay stuck in. And as my first spiritual adviser and NA sponsor said, "Challenges, we can overcome."

Just for today, I will listen to my body. I am hoping it will say, I am up to doing laundry! My pain has eased and now I hope it will allow me to sleep and wake up rested to get some much needed work done.

Priorities are using the slogan First Things First. That slogan helps me to get organized. YES! sleep and laundry are 2 real necessary things to do! I like what you said about problems & challenges. It makes sense to me! Thanks----Bunnypie

Just for today, I will "Live and let live." I got a call from my son last night to say he would be here at 6 p.m. and I haven't heard from him since. No need for him to call, just another one of those weekends he is doing his thing and I have to let go, live my life and allow him to live his. I don't want him around when he is using, so it is best that he stay away. It is his choice and I can't let his choices ruin my day by taking on his stuff. Earlier today, I had chest pains. Not sure if it was anxiety or not, but had to do a prayer and meditation session and ask for help. My left him gave out about 8 p.m. so the treatment helped, but needs more work, it wasn't fixed by one or two treatments. I go Monday and Tuesday for the ultra sound on it and my ankles. I need to stay in the moment. Do what I need to do for myself and live my own life, what ever that brings. Monkey: Monkey teaches the balance of dark and light, he brings awareness the darker side of oneself, aids in seeing both sides of all communication methods. Are you showing your creativity at this time? Is it time to examine an ancient wisdom you just encountered? Monkey ignites the inspiration and imagination from the deep recesses of the self and mind and teaches how to move within/without, above and below.

Oh Jo!---There are a few people in my life that I love them but I don't like them very much! When someone I love causes me to be worried about them well I don't like that very much at all. There are a few animals that are symbols to me. I have learned about them in program over the years and have stuffed animals or ceramic statues of them to remind me of their symbolism. The Rhino is the mascot of acceptance. The 5 ton rhino has 5 ounce testicles however he has 5 inch thick skin so he can accept these things cause "that's just the way it is" and Accept It!!! I have petted this stuffed animal rhino so much he has a bald spot!!! The other animal is a stuffed animal of a tiger with a real long tail. An old time AA man once told me that you have to hang onto your sobriety like a tiger by the tail because if you let go you may never get it back!!! I grab the tigers tail when my emotional sobriety gets shaken. I have a ceramic statue of a camel. The camel can go 24 hours without a drink and when it does take a drink it has to get down on it's knees first. The camel is also the symbol of living one day at a time. I look at the camel often and remind myself that it is just for today! LOL my room looks like a jungle but everything in it has strong meaning & symbolism.-----Bunnypie

Have animals too, stuffed and ceramic. I have a squirrel (keep your space safe), a couple of frogs (cleansing, getting rid of the old to make room for the new), a skunk (respect), bears (Introspection), pig (spiritual beliefs and protection), and the rabbit (fear of moving forward and taking risks according to Jamie Sams).
Rabbit: Movement in life, fertility, sensitive, artistic, plan for possibilities, check what is in motion now, move carefully in work or play, allows for taking advantage of brief chances available. Is it time to observe and watch or time to make leaps? Rabbit can teach you how to plan and helps in setting them in motion. How are you eating habits? Perhaps you need to increase your vegetable intake? Rabbit is a joy so enjoy the movement at this time.

It is interesting to compare stuff on animals. I have a zebra to remember that everything is not all black or all white. I read an AA article in the Grapevine that the author said she felt like a zebra among horses. I have a frog candle to remember the acronym FROG=Find Reliance On God. These animal symbols are good reminders and tools for my program.------Bunnypie

Just for today, I am glad I got here before the day runs out and it is time to start my day again. I am grateful that February is gone, it has never been a month that has been kind to me for some reason. Maybe I expect it to be bad and I need to change my attitude. It is always subject to change any way, no matter what month it is.
