When I was new both of you made me feel loved and welcome, and most importantly, NOT ALONE! So just remember that you are not alone and there will always be someone here that cares. Sorry that I haven't been online in awhile Stick, but I just started working nights, so all I do is work, come home and eat, then sleep and go to work again, ttyl!! Remember to keep it real guys

awwwwe!! Thanx Carolsongs!! I got fired, but that's ok, I'll have another job in less then a week. I'm doing ok. I went to my friend's house the other day and some really krazy stuff happened to me, but I had no controll over that son I'm just trying to deal with that. other then that I'm great, still clean and sober!! Now if I could just quit smoking I'd be all set:-)

Max took over this site when Kathleen ,who started EOR in 2003 (I believe)stepped down. I do thank Max for keeping it going as long as it has to date.  |

hello..glad your here .. i didnt create the site .. i just pay the bills, sometimes i forget i have the site and for that i am convicted .. i have been popping in more lately and have an interest in getting everyone familiar with me as well as bringing vibrancy back to the site like kathleen did .. what kind of bike would be your first choice? .. i dont ride anymore, kathleen created that signature for me.. she is an awesome person .. i see her occasionally when she drops by our computer store front .. have a great day

I have been in recovery for 9+ years (AA, ACOA, SAA). Currently living in AZ. I am going through a divorce.
The tides of change have also provided me with the unique experience of being fired from my job... lovely isn't it? I guess my HP knows what she's doing.
I'm interviewing all over the country now. The AZ desert is too darn hot for an East Coast boy, and I want to leave.
But, I have made a lot of very good friends (my wife and I are still friends and I have not gotten through the grieving process yet).
I have good friends from my men's group therapy, and quite a few good meetings that are part of my routine. There's also a good sponsor in my life from this area as well as a sponsee that I am close too.
Ughhh!!!
I feel lonely, hurt, and fearful. Also, gratitude, love, and hope.... but not a heck of a lot right now.
Who's out there?

welcome spiritwarrior .. thanks for stopping in .. there are people out here in the web .. sounds like face to face might be the most beneficial .. feel free to air yourself here anyway. there are some great people that are from all over the globe that pass through these boards .. also you will find that there are people here that you can reach out to as well .. what kind of employment are you looking for? i look forward to hearing more from you

I hate it man,
but the postings,
where we had 4 or 5 a day has just about stoped.
I do alot in myspace,and a few other sights,
but I try to get by hear at least 2 times a week.
if someone came by here wanting to drink,usr,kill themselves or someone else
they would be screwed.

YOu asked in a post above about the meetings. Sorry, all of them have closed. The last meetings held were ACOA and ALANON . I was the chairperson for both. I came for about 3 months with either one or zero others joining me, so I moved on. I hated to let go, but it was jsut too frustrating. I do drop in at least once a week and check things out. I also go to the chatroom every Sunday morning very early...6 to 7 AM central time...One or 2 EOR frinds join me there.
Anybody else who'd like to drop in, please do!

hello lin .. hope all is well .. yw for keeping the site open .. i can see a bright future for EOR. i just had some local projects to get settled, took much longer and more energy then expected. i promised to keep the doors open here and have no plans to ever shut EOR down. i do plan to be here more often as i do have ESH to share. in march i celebrated 10 yrs of being clean. its been quite a journey so far. the meeting between 6-7 central would be 4-5 here and if i find myself awake at that time i will pop in. which chatroom do you use?
anyone interested in opening new meetings, please contact me

For me, posting on this site is not easy. I love the idea, but it's not very "user friendly".
I've posted on other boards where it's much more straight forward, as far as finding threads and people in a particular forum, and repling just to a particular person's response instead of the whole thread?
It seems like there's too many of them too. And why aren't the responses listed from most recent at the top of the thread? I'm not the most computer literate, but I'm not unfamiliar either.
From a "new eyes' standpoint, this site seems confusing. Like I said, I think think this site is a great idea, and could have amazing benefits for the newcommer, but it needs to be streamlined. I was going to recommend it to one of my sponsees, but he's already in pain, and the last thing he needs is confusion on top of it. I'll try to weed out some information for him.
