D is for decisions. Growing up I doubted my abuity to make a good decision...possible because my dad told me constantly how dumb my decisiona were. Today I can weigh my options, I can cnsiter the others involved, I can look out for what is best for me, I can continue to take care of myself, and I can rely on my HP to help me make the best decisions possible. It's working!

G is for Gratitude... when I first came in I coudl not figure what an alkie or addict could be grateful abotu it. I coudl not understand why an alanon or acoa coudl be grateful about it. But I soon learned...if we find somethign about every part of our life and find somethign about that to be grateful for, we soon have a much better outlook on our life. Lookihng for the silver lining in evey cloud that comes my way has been so rewarding. I am not grateful that I had some tough times dealing with the alcoholics in my life, but i AM grateful that I foudn recovery so I coudl find the tools to make myself feel better.

H is for Humor. It is important to have a sense of humor. To see the humorous side of things, is a real gift especially being able to laugh at myself and my antics. I believe my Higher Power has one. He has to put up with me.

J is for Joy. The joy of living clean and sober. If I am not enjoying my life in today, what am I doing wrong?
I like the dictionary's definitions: 1) To take great pleasure; rejoice. 2) To fill with ecstatic happiness, pleasure, or satisfaction.

L is for: Love β Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.β βThe Bible wow, not sure how I did that!
