M is for Memory. Remember the good times but don't forget the bad ones. Keep them in the past but learn from them in today. If I don't "Remember when" I just might forget and pick up a drug, a bad habit, or a drink.

P is for Patience. Have it if you can. I didn't get sick over night, I don't heal overnight. I must remember this is a one day at a time program. I found the magix elixar at 10 years old. Didn't find recovery until I was 49. Progress, not perfection.

Q is for Quality not Quantity. It is important to spend quality time doing things, be it with your children, spouse, or your Higher Power. A memorable moment is much more satisfying that a fleeting one which just disappears and is not remembered or felt.

R is for Resources. There is a lot of recovery literature to help guide us in our journey. What I call food for the body, mind and spirit. Not only books and pamphlets, so much of it is now on the internet. When we don't know which way to turn, we can pick up a book or come here to EoR for some good orderly direction.

S is for Strength. My strength comes form my Higher Power. Without Him/Her, I could not have stayed sober. Through the strengh He gave me, I was able to find the courage to look into my past and face the feelings that I had buried for so many years.
