V is for Victorious. We have victory over this disease, as we learn to work our program. We are given daily reprieve, as we learn to value ourselves and know we are worthy of recovery.

W is for Wishing. My wish for you is that good things will come your way. Instead of wishing my life away, I need to live it. For so many years, I wished my life away hiding in my bed. Always wanting to be other than where I was at.

X is for Xerophagy (Inert gas in area)! A pretty good word for an alcoholic who is full of himself and his puffed up pride and ego who eXpounds on how wonderful he/she is in case you didn't know. I think it is also calling being full of hot air! Or perhaps it is saying a whole lot and not really saying anything at all! Word hung in the air with no place to go.

Y is for You. The only person you can change is you. You need to want to recover for you. You need to work the Steps to take a look at You and Your part.

Z is for Zealous. How zealous are you at working your program? Do you have your heart and soul in it? Zap your disease with the tools of the program.
