"Say Yes to Life. Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help create the fact." - Henry James
Saying Yes! to life allows wonderful blessings to come to you. Say Yes! to a life filled with Gratitude! Say Yes! to opportunity and success. Say Yes! to a life that you live by your standards. Say Yes! to making your own decisions and not seeking approval of others. Say Yes! to a fulfilling and rewarding career. Say Yes! to a relationship that energizes, supports and stimulates you. Say Yes! to a promising future. Say Yes! to living without guilt, resentment or regrets. Say Yes! to spending more time on your self improvement. Say Yes! to living an authentic life. Say Yes! to taking chances and freeing yourself from fear. Say Yes! to happiness and achievements. Say Yes! to a well-lived life. That's a lot of saying Yes! And it will be well worth it!

"I don't believe in the phrase 'guilty pleasure.' Pleasure by definition has no guilt, for pleasure is a feeling pleased, happy, gratified and content. One shouldn't feel guilt while experiencing happiness and contentment."
- David Lovejoy
Do you have a lot of things? Does it make you feel guilty knowing that there will always be someone with less things, money, or wealth than you have?
Don't feel badly about your situation! There will always be someone with more than you (unless you are Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim Helu - the wealthiest person on earth according to Forbes' list)!
Be grateful for whatever you have - if it is a lot, of if it is not as much as you think - be thankful for it. Chances are you you have more than you think you do!

"Goodness is born when people forget about themselves."
- Lew Tolstoy
Gratitude is about expressing your appreciation towards others. You are not part of the outward equation; You are the source of the gratitude. The attention is on the other person or thing. Forget about yourself and focus on others. See how many people you can express your gratitude towards today!

"To express your appreciation, sincerely and without the expectation of anything in return. Truly appreciate those around you, and you'll soon find many others around you. Truly appreciate life, and you'll find that you have more of it."
- Ralph Marston It does not matter how much you have, or how much you do not have. If you appreciate it, you will find that you have more. It may be that you are just noticing that you have more; it may also be that more comes to you. Regardless, your perception will indicate that your levels are higher after appreciating it.

"The more intensely we feel about an idea or a goal, the more assuredly the idea, buried deep in our subconscious, will direct us along the path to its fulfillment."
- Earl Nightingale
When you are emotionally charged, you have a much better chance of achieving your goals. This is very much like expressing your gratitude! The more emotionally you feel the gratitude for someone or something as you are expressing it, the easier it will be to express it.
That may sound like a cyclical argument, but it really feeds off of itself. The more gratitude you experience, the easier it is to experience it. And since it is easier, you will feel more of it!

"We become wiser by adversity; prosperity destroys our appreciation of the right."
- Seneca
Don;t let prosperity, success, and laziness let you forget what you have. Remember to be grateful regardless of your stature.
It all boils down to the basics.

"Believe you can and you're halfway there."
- Theodore Roosevelt
What you think, is half the battle! Not feeling grateful? Believe that you can be grateful and you will be. Sounds a little pie-in-the-sky, but it is true!
A positive attitude will help you in every aspect of your life. When you face the challenges of everyday, believe you can overcome your adversity, and you are halfway there!

The present moment is filled with joy and happiness. If you are attentive, you will see it."
- Thich Nhat Hanh
Can you come up with a list of just 5 things that you are grateful for right this very moment? They can be 'big' things or 'small' things. Actually, there is no difference between Big and Small!

"If ever you feel flat, draw from the well of Gratitude and take a deep drink."
- Bruce Brown
My suggestion for the new year is to drink early and often! From the well of Gratitude, that is!

"Nothing happens unless first a dream."
-- Carl Sandburg
Do you have a dream? Martin Luther King, Jr. let everyone know that he had a dream!
Do you have a really big dream to accomplish something? Maybe it is a small dream. Perhaps you have a dream to be a little more grateful in 2011 than you were in 2010.
This begs to ask the question... What is the difference between a Dream and a Goal?
There is a small distinction that makes a HUGE difference. Any idea what it is?
A Goal is a Dream with a DEADLINE. Until you assign a date to when you want to accomplish something, it is a dream. Once you know when you want to achieve it, it becomes a goal. Like I said, a small distinction, but a major difference. After all, it is all about your mindset and how you put things into perspective.

ý10 ways to feel happy: - Be Grateful - Laugh As Much As You Can - Exercise - Leave The News For What It Is - Practice Time Management - Work Hard - Learn New Things - Express Your Feelings - Find Spiritual Connections - Help Other People
- Tea B.
This is certainly a great list of ways to feel happy. It is also a great list to have a fantastic year in many aspects of your life!
Have you noticed that it is the simple things that will make a difference in your life? Too often people go chasing various programs or tools thinking that it is the solution to everything they want. In reality - everything you need, you already have.
Didja know that?

"Happiness is an attitude of mind, born of the simple determination to be happy under all outward circumstances." - J. Donald Walters As the saying goes, "There is beauty in simplicity" - and to that I would add, "and there is much to be grateful for in the simple things of life."

Really like this one. When You have stuff to fill your rooms, why do you need more. What is on sale, really isn't a bargain, unless you need it.

"And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years."
- Abraham Lincoln
When you lead a life of gratitude, you make it much easier to put the life in your years! If you are closing your mind to opportunities becuase of feelings of resentment, inadequacy, or frustration, try to shake it off! This certainly is easier said than done. If you are in this boat of negativity, it is perfectly acceptable to take small steps to build up your feelings of gratitude. Go for persistence, not perfection!

"If your life is worth living, it's worth recording."
- Anthony Robbins
There are many journals worth keeping. Anytime I go to a conference or seminar I bring a journal with me. There is always a good chance that I have it with me where ever I go (or within a short walking distance away). To me, this is my prize journal!

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful."
- Buddha
